About
What happens to our stuff when we leave this world?
Paperwork piles up. Calls need to be made. Accounts, assets, ashes. Otherside Life steps in so you can focus on the only thing that actually matters: saying goodbye.
of first-time executors say they had “absolutely no idea what to do.”
of families stop speaking for at least a year after a parent’s death.
Is miscommunication, missing documents, and lack of a neutral coordinator.

Replace Chaos with Clarity
This isn’t therapy. It’s not legal advice. It’s expert, hands-on coordination for the messiest moments after a death, when decisions pile up and clarity disappears.
There’s a right order to do things after someone passes, and most people only learn it the hard way. We bring clear checklists, proven workflows, and real humans who know exactly what needs to happen next.

Coordinating with Compassionate Vendors
Settling an estate takes around 570 hours of admin, and it lands on whoever is least able to carry it. We have the playbooks for all of it and a concierge team who runs them, so those hours are ours instead of yours.
Every vendor is background-checked, insured and licence-verified annually, then trained to our Compassion Standard before they ever meet a family. Grief changes what good service looks like, and we do not assume anyone arrives knowing that.
We coordinate every one of these categories. We provide none of them. The licensed professional does the work.
- Real estateWe source and brief the agent. The sale is theirs to run.

- VenueWe shortlist, check dates, and handle the booking back-and-forth.

A 23-part field guide
The First 500 Hours
The three weeks after a death are the most disorienting a family will face, and almost none of it is intuitive. This is the whole sequence, in the order it actually happens, from the first hour through closing the estate. Read it straight through, or jump to where you are.
What comes next
You don’t have to do this alone.
When the time comes, we’ll handle the chaos, quietly, competently, and with care.
Just say the wordHave a question?
What exactly do you do?
We handle the logistics that follow a death, coordinating people, paperwork, accounts, and vendors so families don’t have to manage it all themselves.
Is this legal or financial advice?
No. We work alongside legal and financial professionals to make sure everything gets done, not to replace them.
Do you work with executors and families together?
Yes. We help keep everyone aligned, informed, and moving forward without unnecessary tension.
What if things are already messy or started?
That’s common. We step in at any point, assess what’s been done, and take it from there.
How do you handle sensitive information and belongings?
With strict processes, secure systems, and trained professionals who understand the weight of what they’re handling.
Otherside Life provides coordination only. Not legal, tax, financial, medical advice or funeral services. Third-party licensed providers deliver regulated services.
